About Rob . . . . . .
Our goal is to provide strategies that will help our readers personally, professionally, and financially. In addition to providing financial planning to our individual clients, I also run the retirement plan division at our firm, and a large part of that responsibility is to help guide participants at all income levels and across all industries. This has given me an in depth background and knowledge of the types of questions people who don’t have access to a financial planner typically ask.
The blog is meant to be a resource. If there are questions that you need answered please feel free to join in on a discussion or contact us directly.
My career up to this point has been working with numbers and people. My work as an accountant has given me a knowledge, in both personal and business, of taxes and financial statements. These are skills which I continue to use every day. I made the decision to move from accounting to finance because the transition seemed natural and I enjoy the continuous contact with individuals. My finance career began with a focus on employer sponsored plans and my interactions with participants has given me an up close picture on how fulfilling this industry can be. I later obtained my CFP® designation and expanded into personal financial planning and investment management. I am now the Chief Operating Officer at Greenbush Financial Group and maintain the following well recognized designations:
- Certified Financial Planner
- Certified Public Accountant
My Family & Hobbies
I grew up in the Capital Region and always knew this is where I wanted to build a family. I’m married to my wife Jordan, and we have two sons, Ryan and Luke. My wife and I met in college and she is currently a speech therapist at a local elementary school. Like everything else, building a family has been a continuous learning curve and so far I’ve loved every second. We have a lot of family and friends locally (and far away) that provide us with all the support and laughter we need. Sometimes too much!
